Coronavirus
The number of cases of Covid-19 infections has been rising through the whole week reaching 6202 cases Friday 11th . This will lead to new restrictions: from Friday 18th restaurants, pubs, hotels and sport facilities will have to close, and a night curfew from 11pm to 5 am will be instaured.

Discriminations
Czech government has been alerted by the Council of Europe’s European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) to put an end to segregation of Roma children in Czech schools. The commission’s report also underlines that Muslims and migrants are now the first target of racism and urges the government to also focus on identifying discriminations towards the LGBTI community.

Former president Vaclav Klaus and former health minister Roman Prymula will have to pay 3000CZK each (app. 115 euros) for not respecting health instructions. The former didn’t wear a mask during the celebrations of the Velvet Revolutions while the latter was seen in a restaurant that should have been closed during the lockdown – this event cost him his office in Health ministry.
